Trauma-informed collective recovery tools for professionals
A trauma-informed approach and toolkit to help families fleeing the war in Ukraine
What do we do in this programme?
The project is a continuation of the previous project funded by Amna (formerly Refugee Healing Network) in 2023, with the addition of new elements. The core elements include training teachers in trauma awareness and mentoring them to train other teachers and children. The new element involves building a community around Amna's trauma-focused programme.
- In stage 1, we will refresh the knowledge of the three trained trainers.
- In phase 2, ten Hungarian teachers will be trained in the subject in a three-day training course.
- In stage 3, each new trainer trains at least 20 people (parents, professionals or children), ensuring that a minimum of 200 (+10) people are trained.
- The project will conclude with a conference.
Who do we work with?
Professionals who work with children and their families fleeing the war in Ukraine: nursery and kindergarten workers, teachers, heads of institutions, social workers, NGO staff.
