Diversity and inclusion in nursery and school - changing attitudes through play
3-day, 30-credit course for pre-school and primary school teachers.
Why do we need to address diversity in early childhood?
Today's kindergartens and schools are becoming increasingly diverse, and teachers are often unprepared for the new situations that arise. Children from different cultural, ethnic, religious and social backgrounds come to public education institutions, which creates new challenges for teachers. To ensure that these differences are not a source of conflict, but an enriching element of the pre-school and school communities, teachers need the right tools and a change of approach. The training will equip teachers to manage diversity and promote inclusion, thus contributing to a more harmonious and accepting school and pre-school environment.
WE'RE YOUR PLACE, IF:
- You want to learn how to communicate and work effectively with children from different cultural, ethnic, religious and social backgrounds.
- You value and want to use the sensitisation exercises that develop children's empathy and social-emotional skills.
- You want to learn how to integrate the themes of acceptance and inclusion into your everyday pedagogical practice.
- You are ready to work with parents and the community to support diversity and inclusion.
What does the three-day accredited training provide?
- The training includes playful learning methods to help children understand and accept diversity.
- Teachers will learn concrete tools and techniques, interactive and experiential activities, and develop empathy and problem-solving skills through sensitisation exercises.
- The training will also cover the importance of working with parents and the local community to promote inclusion and diversity outside of public education institutions.
- Both theoretical knowledge and practical experience will help teachers to work more confidently and effectively with children from different backgrounds.
Remember, the training is worth 30 credits in the teacher training system! We welcome applications from pre-school teachers and primary school teachers. Contact us at kepzes@partnershungary.hu for more details. We can arrange an appointment for 10 participants.
