In education today, loss of motivation and burnout is one of the most frequently recurring risk factors due to the overload of teachers and the professionals who directly support them in their work.

  • Although reflection is a key teacher competence, it is at best done alone, in writing, in the work of a teacher-educator. Reflection rarely happens through collaborative and personalised - let alone joyful - processes.
  • In turn, reflection through motivating, collaborative and creative methods facilitates teachers' daily work and improves the quality of teaching and learning. Structured, group reflective methods provide support, reinforce professionalism and increase teachers' sense of belonging and esteem.

What does the WANDA Case Narrator offer?

  • The WANDA Case Narrator helps the nursery and school teachers, nursery-school social workers, nursery nurses, educational assistants and nursery-school psychologiststo look at their own professional practice from a little further afield, to get ideas, encouragement, recognition and allies. The structured, creative methods and the strength of the group give you the support you need to feel that you are not alone in difficult situations.
  • During the case discussion we work with the tools of positive psychology, focusing on development and improvement. Participants receive targeted methodological and emotional support in their own situation.
  • You should prepare for the case conference with a professional stuckness or problem.
  • Through a five-step process, we get to know the case and look first at the feelings, thoughts and needs of the people involved through a learning question, and then at possible solutions.
  • We use creative tools that help us to break out of fixed patterns of thinking, to develop new ways of relating to the situation and its actors, and to come up with new ideas.
  • During the case discussion, participants will gain external perspectives. This helps them to find alternative paths that lead to their own new solutions.

What do you get when you come?

  • They will be able to change their perspective with the help of the method and the people involved.
  • They learn about the intentions, feelings and motivations behind the cases: they gain a deeper insight into the situation.
  • In addition to the cognitive levels, the use of creative tools can also activate the deeper, intuitive structures, thus transforming the case manager's relationship to the case and his or her perspectives on the solution.
  • Regular case conferences can reduce the risk of burnout.
  • They can move away from the problem and find their own solutions more easily with the active contribution of others.
  • The result: liberated thinking together, uplifting strength, and significant personal development and progress.

"At one time, we were regular participants in a Partners programme. At first, it seemed daunting to share a professional stuckness because we were expected to know the solution to everything. However, the accepting persona of the facilitator, the framework of the group and the clear, predictable steps dissolved the initial fear and by the end I was soaring - even when we weren't working on my own case, I was getting so many ideas and takeaways. It was a liberating experience, really, why can't all teachers have that?"
