Spring 2023 Mediation Conference: traumas behind family conflicts

The focus of this conference is on trauma, which is described as a complex phenomenon that is the result of a stressful life event and manifests itself as a specific set of symptoms. The event that triggers the trauma is beyond the experience of everyday life, beyond the capacities available to the individual, and cannot be reconciled with the experience of life as it has been lived up to that point.
Experts agree that trauma is increasingly part of our everyday lives, affecting families and children.
At our conference, with the help of expert speakers and through small group work, we will seek answers to the question of how we can protect our children from traumatisation in family conflicts, crisis situations and mediation, what the role and responsibility of the mediator is, what he or she can do to prevent it, and where the limits of his or her competence lie.
We now hold our conferences online to give people in remote locations the opportunity to mediators, family, school and child protection professionals, should also be involved a in professional dialogue. The zoom app allows small group collaboration and the dissolution of geographical boundaries both within and outside the country.
