Case study and joint case study workshop with online, difficult mediation cases

Description

As a beginner mediator, would you like to gain experience in a safe environment? As an experienced mediator, are you curious to see how other mediators handle difficult cases? Case study and case study facilitated discussion based on real cases.

It's always the concrete cases that are the most exciting, and we know that there are very few opportunities in Hungary today to observe each other's sessions. Also, while we cannot stop the process during mediation to discuss in detail with other mediators which method to use and exactly how to proceed in a difficult situation, we can in a safe, professional conversation!

The Partners Hungary Foundation offers a case study facilitated discussion where, after a presentation of a real case, we discuss what tools can be effective in dealing with stuckness, how many different ramifications can lead to how many different continuations. In the cases, of course, none of the actors can be identified, and personal data and information are not shared with the group, in accordance with the obligation of confidentiality.

We bring the case and the structure, and the participants bring their questions, ideas, dilemmas and their own similar experiences.

What exactly happens in the case study discussion?

  • At the beginning of the three-hour facilitated discussion, the group and I will choose which of several cases to work on - the one that offers the greatest learning potential for the group.
  • In describing the mediation case, we will stop the story at several points and identify possible difficulties, issues and mediation techniques leading to the goal, guiding the participants through the case, giving them the opportunity to talk through the branching points.
  • Participants will have the opportunity to process the situation, ask questions and share their own experiences in small and large groups.
  • Respecting the principles of the different schools of mediation, you will be able to participate in a high quality, yet direct discussion and experience that we belong to the same community.
  • The conversation is completely confidential - ensuring the maximum safe learning environment for all of you.
  • The discussion will be led by experienced mediators from Partners Hungary Foundation, who will support you in your professional development with 10-25 years of extensive mediation experience.

The case discussion is recommended for mediators who have completed their training. Not accredited training.
