Reflexion, Eplant function, Cgroup support: the experiential reinforcing reflective teaching practice among teachers of children aged 0-10 years

What is the REC project about?

• In this international projectfunded by the European Union's Erasmus+ programme, we introduce group reflective methods In Belgium, Croatia, Hungary and Slovenia, in a total of ten educational establishments. The project is being implemented in Teachers and other professionals working with children aged 0-10is aimed at.

• Although reflection is a key teacher competence, in the context of teacher-education work, is done in writing, at most alone. Reflection rarely takes place through collaborative and personalised - let alone joyful - processes.

• A reflection using motivating, collaborative, creative methods in turn, it makes teachers' daily work easier and improves the quality of education.

• Structured, group reflective methods provide support for, reinforce professionalism and increase teachers' sense of belonging and esteem.

• The REC project consortium five professional institutionswho are more than 10 years of experiencehave the capacity to cooperate with education and training institutions.

𝐖𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐀 𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐠𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐳𝐞́𝐥𝐨̋ 𝐜𝐬𝐨𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐨́𝐝𝐬𝐳𝐞𝐫

Anyone who works with or leads people may be in great need of a development-focused case meeting, which can be a space for shared learning and spiritual refreshment. During the two-hour session, we use creative tools to help participants become aware of their feelings and formulate plans for the future. WANDA is a space for mutual development, which serves to improve the quality of professional work and which, according to feedback, contributes to the prevention of burnout.

𝐕𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐨 𝐜𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠

We often long to slow down, to rewind time, when we wonder what we could have done differently. Video coaching helps us to do just that. 3-10 minute recordings are made in classrooms and classrooms, focusing on interactions between children and between teacher and child - including the needs and wants behind children's behaviour and how to provide an appropriate adult response. After the recording, we interpret the interactions together with the teachers, always from the children's point of view, based on a set of criteria developed by the Early Childhood Department of the University of Artevele.

𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚́𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐥 𝐞𝐠𝐲𝐛𝐞𝐤𝐨̈𝐭𝐨̈𝐭𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐤𝐭𝐢́𝐯 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐳𝐞́𝐥𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐞́𝐬

This method, familiar from teacher training, aims to increase the competence of educational professionals, mutual learning and support in a safe atmosphere, without the need for supervision and certification exams. Through reflective discussion with observation, it is possible to develop shared knowledge within the teaching staff about a specific situation, which helps to support the observed colleague in learning, development and change of practice. Based on the observation and subsequent reflective discussion, we reflect on our own practice and develop a concrete action plan for effective change.
