A CHAVORE - Mental well-being of young Roma children - project is working to develop systems that support these basic needs. Through its practice-oriented, modular training materials and culturally sensitive tools, the project helps professionals to create a safe, accepting and valuing environment for all children.

In Hungary, this mission is carried out by the Partners Hungary Foundation is implemented by. With over two decades of experience in social inclusion, conflict prevention and democratic education, they are at the forefront of promoting Roma inclusion and community development. In the framework of CHAVORE, Partners Hungary has developed two learning modules on: inclusion and diversity, and self-care. The first module helps professionals to reflect on their own their prejudices and assumptions that may unconsciously influence their interactions with children and weaken children's sense of identity. The aim of the training is for participants to go beyond superficial inclusion and actively build culturally sensitive environments where all children feel visible, valued and safe.

The second module focuses on professionals turning towards themselves, emphasising the importance of self-care. It keeps in mind that early childhood professionals carry significant emotional burdens and that their own stress levels can directly affect the quality of care they provide. Participants will learn self-care strategies and receive support to develop their emotional resilience.

The modules were developed smoothly at Partners Hungary, thanks to the organisation's many years of experience in inclusive education. Reflective tools, practical observations and self-assessment exercises were built into the learning process to ensure that what was learnt led to real, tangible changes in practice.

The CHAVORE (meaning "children" in Romanian) project aims to promote the mental health and well-being of young children living in disadvantaged communities, especially Roma communities.
